Born and raised in Tisdale, I have proudly called this community home my entire life. After more than 30 years as a teacher<\/strong> here, I\u2019ve had the privilege of helping shape the lives of countless young people. Teaching has taught me that leadership is not about titles \u2014 it\u2019s about service. As someone who has recently retired from teaching and managing the Falkon Theatre, I now have the time and energy to dedicate myself fully to serving as your mayor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019m running because I believe in Tisdale \u2014 its people, its potential, and its future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My Priorities for Tisdale<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

1. Health Care<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  • Continue working to recruit and retain doctors<\/strong> for our community \u2014 something I\u2019ve already been actively involved in through my role on the Medical Clinic Board.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Strengthen local health services and partnerships to ensure residents can access quality care close to home.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Support initiatives that promote community wellness and mental health.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
    \n\n\n\n

    2. Economic Growth & Infrastructure<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n
      \n
    • Support local businesses<\/strong> and encourage new investment<\/strong> in Tisdale.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Maintain and modernize our infrastructure to meet future needs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Work collaboratively with regional partners to strengthen our economic base.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
      \n\n\n\n

      3. Education & Literacy<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n
        \n
      • Draw on my 30+ years as a teacher<\/strong> to champion learning as the foundation of community success.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Engage youth and adults in programs that strengthen reading, communication, and critical-thinking skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Build partnerships between schools, businesses, and community organizations to create pathways for skills development and local employment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        4. Community & Governance<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n
          \n
        • Bring integrity, transparency, and collaboration<\/strong> to every decision made at Town Hall.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Support the library, recreation, and cultural programs that help our community thrive.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Ensure every voice in Tisdale is heard and respected.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

          5. Youth Engagement<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n
            \n
          • As a lifelong educator, I know the power of youth engagement<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Work to create opportunities for young people to get involved in local decision-making.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Promote programs that make our youth proud to live, learn, and eventually raise families here in Tisdale.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
